Brazil and Mexico - overview of two emerging markets for energy storage in Latin America

Webinar

Thursday, July 30, 2026 I 9:00am CST | 12:00pm BRT I 5:00pm CEST I Language: English

Brazil and Mexico represent the largest and second-largest consumers of electric energy in Latin America. Both countries have experienced significant growth in solar PV energy and are not to embark on energy storage. In Brazil, the Ministry of Mines and Energy recently announced two capacity auctions for BESS to take place in early December. And in Mexico a BESS mandate has generated significant interest among market participants. Both countries also experience rapid growth in behind-the-meter storage. In this webinar we will explore the particularities of both markets, examine drivers for demand and local challenges, as well as explain opportunities for international storage players.

During the webinar participants can submit their questions to get them answered by the experts in the live Q&A. In addition, both the recording and the speakers' presentations will be made available on our digital content platform The smarter E Digital after the webinar.
