Intersolar Mexico 2026 International Conference to Set the Agenda for the Solar Industry

The Intersolar Mexico 2026 International Conference will bring together national and international experts at Centro Banamex from September 1–3 to analyze the trends, challenges and opportunities shaping the development of the solar industry.

Through 16 sessions, seven individual presentations and nine panel discussions, the program will address key topics in photovoltaics, energy storage and solar thermal energy.The program will also cover cross-cutting topics such as trends, programs and public policies, regulation, market challenges and opportunities, business models, and solutions for the service and industrial sectors.

This year’s Conference will feature more than 30 speakers from Mexico, Germany, Spain, Denmark, Colombia and the United States, among other countries. Industry experts and representatives from government, academia and international cooperation organizations will share perspectives and experiences in a program that reaffirms gender parity as a defining feature of Intersolar Mexico, with women accounting for 50% of speakers.

Among the state-level representatives participating are Walter Julián Ángel Jiménez, Secretary of Energy Development of Tamaulipas; Daniel Sada González, Director of the Renewable Energy Agency of the State of Nuevo León; Mauricio Reyes Caracheo, Director General of the Energy Agency of the State of Querétaro; and Zulleth Monserrath Tejas Álvarez, Director of Energy and Telecommunications of the Government of the State of Baja California Sur.

For the first time, all sessions will offer simultaneous Spanish-English and English-Spanish interpretation, broadening access to the discussions and facilitating exchange between national and international participants.

  • September 1: the program will focus on strategic topics including “Quality Distributed Generation: Safety, Compliance and Certifications” and “Nearshoring, Industry and Energy: Northern Mexico as a Driver of New Investment.”
  • September 2: the agenda will address “Electricity Self-Consumption: From Regulation to Practical Experience” and “Solar Heat and Thermal Energy Storage: Technologies, Business Models and New Perspectives for Industrial Decarbonization.”
  • September 3: the program will feature “Concentrated Solar Power Plants in Mexico: Industrial Development and Prospects for a National Value Chain” and “The Water-Energy Nexus: Opportunities for the Solar Industry and Water Infrastructure.”

On September 2 at 5:30 p.m., "Sustainable Connections" will take place, an exclusive networking session with limited capacity, open only to Intersolar Mexico Conference pass holders. The gathering will provide a space to strengthen relationships, exchange knowledge and identify opportunities for collaboration.
