The industrial growth taking place in northern Mexico is transforming the region's energy needs and accelerating the demand for more modern, reliable, and sustainable infrastructure. In this context, solar energy and electrical storage are emerging as key technologies to strengthen industrial competitiveness and meet rising electricity demand. This panel will bring together public sector representatives and industry leaders to discuss how northern Mexican states are creating new opportunities for energy development, investment attraction, and the integration of solar and storage solutions across strategic sectors of the Mexican economy.

11:00am–12:20pmConcentrated Solar Power in Mexico: Industrial Development and Perspectives for a National Value Chain

Mexico is beginning to explore a new phase for the development of concentrated solar power technologies with thermal energy storage as part of its energy transition and industrial development strategy. Planned CSP projects in the country are opening new perspectives for industrial growth, local content development, job creation, and international technology cooperation.

This panel will bring together representatives from public institutions, international organizations, industry, and research centers to discuss the potential of a national CSP value chain in Mexico, as well as the challenges and perspectives for developing local suppliers, attracting investment, and strengthening industrial capabilities around strategic clean energy and thermal storage projects.
