In the first term of 2020 the prospects for PV in LATAM and especially in Brazil and Mexico were very promising. This webinar wants to shed a light on the recent developments, as well as on the opportunities for investments in the PV sector in these two rising PV nations in LATAM. Daniel Prates, Investment Officer for the renewables sector at Apex-Brasil and Angelica Quiñones, President of ANES (Asociación Nacional de Energía Solar), will provide you with up-to-date information about the market potential of off grid solutions and also of photovoltaic plants related to economics.

During the webinar participants can submit their questions to get them answered by the experts in the live Q&A. In addition, both the recording and the speakers' presentations are made available to all registrants after the webinar.

Dr. Angélica Quiñones, President of ANES

Angelica Quiñones is currently President of the Mexican National Solar Energy Association (ANES) and Chair of the NESO-13 standardization committee. She holds a Doctorate in Energy by the Engineering Institute and a Master Degree in Engineering from the UNAM, where she is also a professor. Besides, she is Senior Mentor at the Network of Women in Energy and Energy Efficiency REDMEREE.

Daniel Prates, Investment Officer for the renewables sector, Apex-Brasil

Daniel Prates is the investment officer for the renewables sector at Apex-Brasil – the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency. His main activities involve globally promoting opportunities and facilitating FDI in the Brazilian new energy sector. He holds a Master´s degree in Law & Technology from Tilburg University, the Netherlands and a Bachelor´s degree in Law from the University of Brasilia.

Florian Wessendorf, Managing Director, Solar Promotion International

Dr. Florian Wessendorf joined Solar Promotion International in January 2016 as Managing Director. His primary focus is to continue to expand the company’s current position as a global information and strategy platform for the solar and storage industry in international markets.
