"Sofía Tamayo Gutiérrez, who holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Law from Universidad Panamericana, is currently the Director of Institutional Relations and Regulatory Affairs at Kino Energía, Mexico's largest renewable asset platform (1.8 GW).
With extensive experience in the Mexican energy sector, Sofía has held pivotal roles in both public and private spheres. Her career includes positions at the Energy Regulatory Commission, as part of the founding team of Enix, S.C., leading Regulatory Affairs at AES México, and serving as Director of Corporate Affairs, Regulation, and Social Responsibility at Zuma Energía.
She is an active participant in energy sector associations, serving as a member of the Board of Directors of ASOLMEX and Lead Coordinator of the Regulatory Strategy Group for AMDEE. Academically, she has been an adjunct professor at Universidad Panamericana and a guest lecturer at UNAM. She is also a member of Women in Renewable Energy Mexico (MERM) and Colectivo 50+1 CDMX.
