Global advisor on energy and climate for governments and international organizations, she was the first woman to serve as National Secretary and Undersecretary of Energy of Panama, where she authored and co-authored more than 15 national energy policy instruments, such as the Green Hydrogen Strategy, the Universal Energy Access Strategy, and the National Interconnected System Innovation Strategy, all with a gender perspective.

She is president of Panama's Chapter of the 50+1 Collective, a member of the Board of Directors of GWNET and of the Global Climate Champions Alliance, and an advisory member of REN21.

She was a Senior Regional Energy Expert at UN Environment, a former advisor on Energy and Climate Change to the Minister of Environment of Panama, and a former Director of Climate Change. She holds a degree in Civil Engineering, a master's degree in technology and Natural Resource Management in the Tropics and Subtropics from the University of Applied Sciences in Germany; a Master's degree in Environmental Sciences from UASLP - Mexico; and is also a specialist in Sustainable Energy Policy Development.
