The energy transition also requires ensuring more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable access to energy. In Mexico, energy poverty continues to impact quality of life, health, wellbeing, and development opportunities for millions of people, particularly in vulnerable communities.
This session will present a new multidimensional approach to analyzing energy poverty and energy wellbeing in Mexico by integrating participatory methodologies, local knowledge, and social, territorial, and cultural dimensions. The presentation will also explore how this framework can support the development of public policies and energy solutions that are better aligned with the real needs of each community and region.
