Lines of action for an inclusive solar industry

This webinar will present the gender equality program of the National Solar Energy Association (ANES), the only association in the energy sector in Mexico that includes a gender policy in its statutes. The goal is that the ANES lines of action serve as a guide for companies that are part of the PV and solar thermal industry to create more inclusive spaces.

Among the topics that will be addressed are the following:

  • The potential of the solar industry to contribute to gender equality and their economic empowerment
  • Actions to create safe spaces for women in the industry
  • Actions to make visible the work of women in the industry

Our Guest

Dulce Guevara, Secretary for Inclusion and Gender, ANES

Consultant at the Climate Initiative of Mexico on issues of Just Energy Transition. Collaborated at CeMIESol, Mexican Center for Innovation in Solar Energy. She is also Secretary of Inclusion and Gender of the ANES (National Association of Solar Energy). Previously, she was in charge of gender and electricity in the Gender Unit of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE). She has worked in institutions such as the Senate of the Republic, the Belisario Domínguez Institute and the INAI. She studied International Relations at ITAM and has two master's degrees: one in Law from UNAM and another in Public Administration from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Marisol Oropeza, Business and Marketing Strategist, matters

Business and Marketing Strategist at matters, specialised in the solar industry, born in Mexico and based in Germany since 2004.

Her academic and professional background are international and multidisciplinary. She graduated with honours in Business Administration from the UNAM and holds a Master's degree in European Studies from the Hochschule Bremen in Germany. In addition, she has studied International Marketing, Leadership and Sustainable Development. She has working experience in the public, non-profit and private sector in Mexico and Germany, and has been part of the solar industry since 2008.

Her clients include highly recognised companies and organisations from the European and Mexican solar energy market. She is a creator, consultant, speaker and participates in several international projects.
