Yotzelin Saldaña Beltrán holds a degree in Energy Systems Engineering from the Autonomous University of Mexico City and a Master's degree in Energy Management and Renewable Energy Sources from the Monterrey Institute of Technology. She has more than eight years of experience in the development and evaluation of public policies on energy efficiency and renewable energy in Mexico. She has actively participated in the design and implementation of support programs for solar water heating systems aimed at MSMEs in the service sector and hotels, promoting thermal decarbonization. During her career at the National Commission for the Efficient Use of Energy (CONUEE), she led technical processes for the evaluation of solar thermal technologies and the professionalization of the sector. She is currently a Senior Researcher at the Institute for Energy and Environmental Development (IDEA), where she promotes projects for a just energy transition, the phase-out of fossil fuels, and the strengthening of the solar sector as a key pillar of the national climate strategy.
