More than 250 exhibitors and 13,000 visitors from over 35 countries are expected to participate in this year’s events.

Report – Digitalisation and Solar in Mexico

ASOLMEX and SolarPower Europe, supported by the German development cooperation GIZ, will launch a report on “Digitalisation & solar in Mexico” on 3 September 2019 at Intersolar Mexico in the workshop Digitalisation and Solar in Mexico. The report will present how the energy sector has begun a fundamental transformation from an old analogue system to a fully digital network. It seeks to answer how solar can make the most of the market opportunities of digitalisation, and how digitalisation can be a driver for more solar deployment. It looks at new and improved business models, the digitalisation of the entire solar value chain from manufacturing to operations and maintenance, and digital integration of the technology into the grid. It also contains a number of cutting edge case studies from Mexico and Europe from SMA, Tesla, Solarcoin, Siemens, Gestorsolar, Sunwise, Aerospec, Alectris, Alpiq, Google, First Solar, QOS Energy, Gauss Energía, Enel Green Power, Exxergy, BayWa r.e. and the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), all of whom are implementing cutting edge pilot projects in this field. The report also looks at policy best practices from Europe and Mexico that support the take-up of digital solar.
