She holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Universidad Iberoamericana and a Master's degree in Energy and Sustainability from the University of Southampton. For the past 10 years, she has specialized in the decarbonization and democratization of energy, highlighting her work in the development and evaluation of regulations at the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE). She is a technical and regulatory consultant for the electricity sector and, since 2023, has also chaired the Mexican Agrovoltaic Network (Red Agrovoltaica Mexicana A.C.).

Regulatory advisor in the electricity sector in Mexico with extensive experience in distributed generation. In 2016, he participated in the working groups for the approval of the general administrative provisions for the interconnection of power plants smaller than 0.5 MWp of the Special Energy Transition Programme (PETE) of SENER. He has contributed to various workshops and discussion panels related to regulation, such as those that analyzed the Electricity Industry Law in 2021 and CALIDENA, the programme to assess and improve the value chain in the photovoltaic sector led by the German National Metrology Institute (PTB), among others. It has collaborated with different manufacturers to comply with the technical requirements requested in RES/142/2017. He also has several certifications, including that of strategic and commercial partner in Mexico for the SOLAREDGE brand. His company has installed more than 6 GWp in distributed generation. He runs the online workshop portal Hablando de Energía which promotes knowledge of the Electricity Industry Law and its regulation. He is Vicepresident of the XXIII Board of Directors in the National Solar Energy Association (ANES).

General Director of RER in Mexico and LATAM, brings over 10 years of experience in the renewable energy market. An advisor to ASOLMEX, she also holds a Master's degree in Energy from Duke University. Leveraging her extensive experience in the financial sector and her energy background, Carla has successfully expanded RER in Mexico's Distributed Generation sector and LATAM, and facilitated the entry of investment funds into this market.

Ms. Aguilar holds a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Flensburg, Germany (2009). After completing her studies, she joined the Berlin Energy Agency, where she managed international energy projects. From 2013 to 2015, she headed the Environmental Department at the German-Mexican Chamber of Commerce in Mexico City. Since October 2015, she has been working as a Senior International Project Manager at the German Solar Association (BSW-Solar). Her responsibilities include the management of international projects-among them EU-funded initiatives such as PV FINANCING and PVP4Grid-as well as the development of studies and project work in countries such as Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Ghana, India, and Mexico. She is fluent in Spanish, German, and English.
