Lishey Lavariega, Technical Advisor, German Technical Cooperation GIZ Mexico

M.Sc. in Renewable Energies from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain; degree in physics from Oaxaca´s university. She has experience in the private sector in photovoltaic projects, and in the design of public and private financing schemes for climate change, renewable energy and sustainable production systems. She coordinated the program Support for the Implementation of the Energy Transition in Mexico of GIZ Mexico from 2019-2022. Expert in Distributed Generation focused on innovation in business models, she led the work of Sustainable Community and Cooperative Energy looking for more participatory, decentralized and democratic models to contribute to a Just Energy Transition. She was a consultant at Iniciativa Climática de México (ICM) responsible for the Ejido Solar project, a solar energy model with social ownership for local development. She is currently technical advisor for the German Mexican Climate Change Alliance program at GIZ Mexico.

Márcio Takata, CEO, Greener

CEO of GREENER, a Research and Investment Strategies company focused on Energy Transition. Since 2007, has been involved in structuring more competitive and sustainable businesses with a focus on the Energy Storage, Distributed and Centralized Solar Energy value chain. Member of the Board of Directors of ABSOLAR, Marcio is engineer from the Polytechnic School of USP – University of São Paulo - and an MBA from INSPER and has served as a professor in different postgraduate programs in topics related to energy and sustainability.

Luís Pita, General Manager for Brazil

Luís Pita is the General Manager for Brazil at Atlas Renewable Energy and was General Manager of SunEdison Brazil for four years. Before that, he accumulated over 20 years of experience in executive roles in various continents, working mainly in logistics, media production and retail. He was one of the founders of ASBOLAR (Brazil’s Solar Energy Association) and has been a Board Member since its inception.
Luis holds a Business Administration degree from St. Louis University and an MBA from the University of Houston.

Marisol Oropeza

Business and Marketing Strategist at matters, specialised in the solar industry, born in Mexico and based in Germany since 2004.

Her academic and professional background are international and multidisciplinary. She graduated with honours in Business Administration from the UNAM and holds a Master's degree in European Studies from the Hochschule Bremen in Germany. In addition, she has studied International Marketing, Leadership and Sustainable Development. She has working experience in the public, non-profit and private sector in Mexico and Germany, and has been part of the solar industry since 2008.

Her clients include highly recognised companies and organisations from the European and Mexican solar energy market. She is a creator, consultant, speaker and participates in several international projects.
