Quality in Distributed Generation: Safety, Compliance and Certifications

Specialist in Environmental Energy Policy and Management from the Latin American School of Social Sciences (FLACSO), with experience in the creation and development of policies and programs focused on energy efficiency for industry and buildings, as well as in the incorporation of strategies for the decarbonization of the energy sector. She currently works as Director of Energy Security and Transition at the Renewable Energy Agency of the State of Nuevo Leon, where her main focus is on strengthening the value chain of key sectors such as green hydrogen, biomethane, distributed generation and energy efficiency, as well as identifying energy market opportunities in general. Among the objectives of his area are the professionalization of the sector, the integration of municipalities and communities, the strengthening of communication to promote a culture of responsible energy consumption in various social spheres, and the promotion of gender equity as a transversal focus in the implementation of energy strategies.

Graduated in Industrial Engineering at ITESO, in Guadalajara; he was in charge of the Public Lighting Department of the municipality of Zapopan, Jalisco, where he initiated an energy saving programme. He was Project Manager for the company Menchaca y Asociados, winner of the National Energy Saving Award for the Santiago Ixcuintla, Nayarit lighting project. He developed diagnoses and energy efficiency projects in lighting for 30 municipalities in Nuevo León, Querétaro, Nayarit, Zacatecas and Jalisco. He managed the administrative area of an electrical infrastructure construction company and was an independent consultant on energy efficiency and clean generation. Since 2019 he is Executive Director of the Mexican Photovoltaic Industry Association.

Doctor in Engineering and Applied Sciences. Her research focuses on: Social Demand of Energy; Sustainability and Innovation; and Gender and Energy. She is member of the Academia de Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades del Estado de Morelos; the International Women's Forum; and Voz Experta. She is Head of Innovation and Futures Lab at Instituto de Energías Renovables UNAM.

Electrical Engineer from the National Polytechnic Institute, with postgraduate studies in Business Administration from the Telecommunications Training Institute of Telmex (INTTELMEX). I work at Telmex as an executive, coordinating technical work groups for the deployment of electrical infrastructure, energizing Transmission, Switching, and Data Center facilities. I operated Energy Efficiency Action Plans for Telecom companies in Mexico and Latin America for the CARSO Group. Member of the National Solar Energy Association (ANES) and the Mexican Photovoltaic Industry Association (AMIF). Operational Coordinator of Renewable Energies at FECIME (Federation of Mechanical and Electrical Colleges) and Vice President of the Energy Efficiency Commission of CIME NL. President of the Renewable Energy Competency Management Committee of CONOCER.
