The need to improve the quality of solar thermal products and installations in Mexico is imperative to increase confidence in the technology and encourage market growth. In this webinar the speakers will present the schemes available in Mexico and the links that exist with international organizations in the area of certification and standardization.

Naghelli Ortega, President of the Technical Committee NESO-13

National researcher level I, President of the Technical Committee of National Standardization for Solar Energy NESO-13 and Training Secretary of the XXI Board of Directors of the National Solar Energy Association (ANES).

Her research areas include the application of solar heat in industrial processes, the design, modelling, evaluation and simulation of solar thermal devices for low and medium temperature, and solar refrigeration.

She participates in the IEA-SHC Task 64 "Solar Process Heat" and Task 66 "Solar Energy Buildings", as well as in the Solar Payback project and the CALIDENA - Solar Thermal working group.

She has a master's degree in solar energy and a PhD in energy engineering from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. She is currently a CONACYT Researcher, attached to the Centro de Investigación en Materiales Avanzados, subsede Durango, Mexico.

Marisol Oropeza

Born in Mexico and based in Germany since 2004, Marisol's academic and professional background are international and multidisciplinary. She has worked in the public, non-profit and private sector in Mexico and Germany, and has worked in the solar heating and cooling market since 2008. Her core competencies are in strategic marketing, business development and project management.

Since 2016, she works as independent business and marketing consultant specialized in the solar market. She has advised important European companies and organizations and leads international projects from the solar market.
