The purpose of this talk is to review the various technologies available in the manufacture of solar cells. Within this technological development, silicon cells, in their various forms, dominate, but there are other types of technology that allow diversifying and improving the applications of these solar cells. It is also important to show what these new technologies will be and what implications they could have on the current photovoltaic industry.
