Intersolar Mexico partners with ASOLMEX, ANES and FAMERAC

Mexico City/Pforzheim/Freiburg, June 5, 2019 - Mexico’s high potential for solar energy makes it one of the most attractive markets in Latin America. Not only the solar PV market share in the energy mix is growing, but also the share of solar thermal applications. An abundance of solar resources, high power prices, gas imports, falling technology costs, and an increasing need for resource diversification combine to place Mexico among the global leaders for solar development. The growing number of solar installations is also stimulating the energy storage market. Intersolar and the three largest national solar associations, Asociación Mexicana de Energía Solar (ASOLMEX), Asociación Nacional de Energía Solar (ANES) and Fabricantes Mexicanos en las Energías Renovables (FAMERAC), have partnered for the first Mexico edition of the world's leading exhibition series for the solar industry, which will take place September 3-5 in Mexico City.

Mexican solar industry at one place

These partnerships with ASOLMEX, ANES and FAMERAC aim at gathering the most relevant players of the solar industry at the exhibition, and strengthening the positioning of solar technologies in Mexico. “We are delighted to partner with these three associations and present the solar industry as a whole, solar photovoltaic and solar thermal in one place,” mentions Dr. Florian Wessendorf, managing director of Solar Promotion International GmbH. The Intersolar Mexico will be a forum for manufacturers, installers, service providers, and many other relevant stakeholders of the solar energy industry in Mexico to present their products and innovations. Members of ASOLMEX, ANES and FAMERAC receive special conditions and marketing support.

Solar photovoltaic and solar thermal on stage

Mexico’s solar photovoltaic industry has grown rapidly over the last years and has gained the attention of many investors and policy makers. However, the Mexican solar thermal industry is not lagging behind. Mexico’s solar thermal market is the second largest in Latin America after Brazil, and a recent market survey carried out by solrico positions Mexico as the global market leader in solar process heat applications. Recently, the government of Mexico City announced its Strategy for Energy Sustainability, also called Solar City, which includes ambitious targets for both solar PV and solar water heating.

The Intersolar Mexico will be a forum for the whole solar industry and also the conference program will be the stage for the presentation of the latest projects, programs and innovations.

Intersolar Mexico and THE GREEN EXPO®

The Intersolar Mexico will take place simultaneously to THE GREEN EXPO®. The two leading exhibitions combine forces to offer the industry the ideal renewable energy and green technology platform in Mexico.
